With all that is going on, I awoke to this today. Most of California is .. well, more like Marsifornia, as some are calling it. As if the Orange Man was not enough to contend with.

I've been doing pretty well so far, but today it just feels a bit much. Please share some good views, to take my mind off of what is staring me in the face as I type. 1:39 in the afternoon on what would usually be a glorious September day.

Waiting for the rain of frogs.

that is beautiful @TheLastStarfighter. I am so missing home (Scotland) so this is just what I needed. Thank you.

Well that’s a nice coincidence (Scotland) Smile. Whereabouts?

And how bad is it over there just now?

2018SoFarSoGreat · 10/09/2020 00:41

@TheLastStarfighter I'm from Dundee but been here for about 400 years (well, 40 - eek!) I usually come home twice or even three times a year, so am really desperate to get over there.

It is the oddest time here. For two weeks we have had a heat wave, and could not open windows because the air quality was so bad with the smoke. Today the air quality improved, but the vision disappeared. I have to say everyone seems a little freaked out. We've all seen way too many movies.

Where are you with that lovely view?

We’re in the Borders, but the picture is of Dunbar (taken at the weekend). It’s my happy place that I go to whenever I am stressed, so I thought it would be a good one for you :)

Have the fires been close to you, or is it the smoke drifting?

2018SoFarSoGreat · 10/09/2020 03:46

The fires are not close, nearest about 1.5 hour drive away, but they are on all sides so it is just sitting. No wind.

I hope it clears soon. It must be difficult dealing with that on top of everything thing else that is going on. 2020 sucks!

(And I just realised my photo loaded upside down Confused )
