What contraception helps PMS??

It’s unbearable, will anything help it? I don’t care if I get a constant period or gain a ton of weight, I can’t live like this spending a third of my life full of rage and anger and on the brink of a breakdown with unbearable anxiety.

Has anybody had any luck with PMS symptoms after taking contraception?

Cerazette worked for me.

Do you do any exercise @jellyfishdoodoodoo, it can help enormously.

Cerazette seems to either make people much better or much worse. I took it for a week and stopped when I realised that I was having suicidal thoughts, having been perfectly fine six days beforehand.

Lifestyle stuff is what works best for me - regular bedtimes, lots of exercise, minimal sugar and alcohol, and CBT helped with the remaining symptoms.

You can also get antidepressants which you take for only some of your cycle.

Also, with the sort of symptoms you mould your life around, I'm pretty much assuming it's PMDD which us the very severe form of PMS.

The only thing that really stopped it for me was the time I didn't have periods when I was breastfeeding.
