Do u have lots of stuff on your dressing table.

It’s the first time ( I’m 44 ) that I have had a dressing table. Never really been into make up and lotions etc. But my skin is now starting to look a bit old and I’m finding myself buying makeup, and bits.

I’m just curious. Do u have lots of lotions and make up. Do u display them all.

Also. How does anyone put on make up when they are blind without their glasses on. Is it a best guess or is there something I’m not doing. I have a magnifying mirror. But without my glasses I still can’t see.

I love having the expensive attractive things on display and the secretive pretty trinkets hidden away. I have a bowl of lemons sitting out right now. I have too much clutter honestly . Embarrassingly I have an old spray can of Rave on there too...

I just have a lamp, my perfume and jewellery box on it and make up, hand bands etc in the drawer. I love my dressing table.

I have a mirror, a big rose gold tub with bigger makeup brushes and a smaller glass jar with eye makeup brushes. Also have a candle and a reed diffuser. I don't like clutter!

I’ve never had a dressing table until recently. Not been into makeup and lotions until menopause hit! It’s my mum’s Victorian wash stand and I have a few trinket bowls, some deodorant and a drawer of make up I have no knowledge of what to do with really. There’s some jewellery there too but I don’t wear that either ( gifts from husband who thinks I like frippery when I don’t).

I got mine recently and I love it so much. The only thing I keep on it is a lovely bowl with my lipsticks in, otherwise I leave it completely clear. My make up is in the drawers so it's handy but not on show.

I have some attractive storage box things from tkmax, glass with gold edging, with make up brushes and my creams etc. that are in nice packaging. Everything else is hidden in the drawer.

My dressing table is also my desk and where I keep embroidery stuff. I quite like it cluttered but DH finds it painful to look at I think.

I have mine completely clear apart from the mirror. All the stuff is kept in drawers.

I have a very large antique one (almost 2m) with lots of storage and a very large mirror at the back which is fab. I have two lamps, a framed picture, a light up magnifying mirror, a scented candle and then I have a glass art deco dressing table set consisting of a tray with sections, two jars and a little pot with a lid.

I put my rings in the pot and my frequently used make up brushes in the jars but other than that I put things away otherwise it looks cluttered.

I have too much stuff on it. Mine has 6 drawers so most of make up/hair stuffs are in there. But all the perfume, brushes, lotions, basically tall stuffs are on the table.

I have a massive set of drawers on the dressing table top to house my make up and hair accessories.

I have bought some glass domes from IKEA and one has perfume and 2 have skincare under them.

Far too much. I should probably clear out the drawers and put some more stuff away.

I’ve got about 5 bottles of perfume, make up bag, make up brushes, moisturisers sprays etc. Plus a few little jewellery boxes.

All I have is tri fold mirror, some fairy lights (this looks far better than it sounds haha), a candle and one perfume bottle.

Everything else is hidden in the drawer

Ohhhh. I want photos! I’m around the same age as the OP (45) and I was never bothered about makeup apart from some moisturizer and eyeliner. Now I find myself obsessing over dressing tables and various powders and creams. I don’t have a dressing table and want one now.

I’ve not had a dressing table since I was 8. I have perfume bottles and a little china dish with earrings on it on a chest of drawers but all my make-up, 'lotions and potions ' stay in the bathroom.

Nearly everything in the drawers otherwise keeping the table bit clean is too tricky. I hate clutter though.

oh lord, mines is packed with magical wonderful potions, only time will tell if they actually work 🤣

I got a dressing table after a bedroom shuffle around during lockdown. All my stuff that should be on or in it is in boxes as DH nabbed it to use as his WFH office desk!
