What food brands do you not compromise on

Light-hearted

I really don't think we are a good brand snob family.

We use supermarket own baked beans / ketchup / bread butter etc where ever cheaper.

However I do like my instant coffee and squash to be our normal brands.
This morning my daughter refused her cereal as it tasted horrible and I had swapped our crunchy nut to Tesco branded and I agreed with her I could really taste the difference which I was surprised about.

What items do you not compromise on ?

Sooo many!

Heinz ketchup
Hellman's mayo
Heinz salad cream
Lurpak
Kettle chips
Yorkshire Tea
Warburton's bread
Philadelphia
OIA olive oil - the absolute best

Yeah I’ve only bought Yorkshire Tea since I can remember, but had to find a new tea brand after they started preaching nonsense!

Fuckityfucksake · 09/09/2020 16:50

Kenco
Yorkshire tea
Kellogs cornflakes or crunchy nuts - the rest I'll go shops own
Lurpak
Andrex or Lidl no other
Nutella

Can't think of anything else. Will eat most shop brand tinned stuff and mayo/ketchup
Fresh bread over stodgy ready packed ones (I shouldn't be eating it anyway but when I do)

WhatWouldJKRDo · 09/09/2020 16:51

Yorkshire Tea
Marmite
Heinz ketchup
French's mustard (for hot dogs)
Maille mustard (for everything else)
Hellman's mayonnaise
Encona/Cholula/Flying Goose for my/DH/DS2's chilli sauces
Weetabix
Special K
Philadelphia cream cheese
New York Bagel Company

Funny how many condiments are non-negotiable, unlike so many other food groups.

Kellogs cornflakes, any other cheaper cereal is fine

Imissmoominmama · 09/09/2020 16:56
