Posting on here for traffic

I am literally at the end of my tether with this problem

I’ve had it about 2 yrs, not everyday maybe some days or part of the day.

I don’t know if it’s a symptom of anxiety-menopause-tmj- ??
Now before you say yes
I’ve literally had anxiety throughout my life from high of the scale to manageable.
I have had a plastic cover made from dentist to cover bottom teeth.
He never said I was grinding them, but said it may help £200
It hasn’t helped
I’ve been checked for tmj at dental hospital, I have a click on the right said and they contacted physio they gave me exercises to do(covid)
My jaw doesn’t ache though
It’s just my teeth, and occasionally headache.
Another thing that as started is really bad neck, I noticed it whilst asleep wanting to turn over. It goes tight and up into base of head, the pain wakes me up.
Months later I still have it, but it’s in the day & night now.
I can’t turn my head either way with it really hurting.

I’m so confused I don’t know who to see
I’ve been to
Dentist/dental hospital (teeth aching)
Neck pain - Osteopath

I really don’t feel in the day I’m clenching my teeth, I’m sat here now and there killing me
Had 2 lots of paracetamol

I take take venlafaxine and diazepam everyday, and don’t even feel anxious some days
But still have it

Anyone

How severe pain are we talking?

Tbh the neck ache does point to a muscular/stress based issue. Plus a headache, these are classic symptoms associated with TMJ.

The only other thing really is your sinuses. Is the pain worse when you bend over? But that wouldnt cause neck ache

What exercise do you do?

I have these sorts of problems too.

Thanks for reading

The pain is nagging dull ache, I suppose it depends on your pain threshold , I’m not good with pain, so I’d say 6/10

Sinuses are fine, no aching in face. No pain when bending.
It’s just my
Teeth, neck and occasional headache, maybe be stress because I bloody can’t stand it, it makes be feel so down
Constant dull toothache.

Exercise for jaw are
Tongue behind your front top teeth
Slowly open and close you mouth, not wide though
Bring your jaw forward & back
Move your jaw from one side of face, back to the centre then the other side.

Sorry I meant swimming or something. I find swimming helps relax neck muscles for instance. Also yoga / pilates are helpful.

I never remember to do the jaw exercises
