Mid terraced house - 1914. Was always a duff buy but got stuck with it when ex-p left and can’t afford better.
When we bought it there were some floorboard issues in front room and these were replaced as a condition of sale. They were crumbling - possible damp. About 5 years ago another few floorboards in the front room did the same and I got a handyman to patch them up. Now I can feel the floorboards in both downstairs rooms and the upstairs corridor are uneven, I can even see outlines of individual boards through the admittedly flat and old carpet.
I have no spare cash. Can I ignore it? If not who do I get to look at it? A builder? Damp person? Is it something insurance would cover?
