Advice needed

I have a loverly family as neighbours or so I thought. A group of travellers have just moved round the corner to me and my neighbour was shouting about how he hated them and would happily burn them and their children in their caravans.
For some reason this has really upset me as I can’t imagine how any reasonable person could say these things..

What advice are you looking for?

Not sure really, I don’t know if I should just put it down to a bad day or should I say something?

Say what, exactly? If that's the kind of people they are, nothing you say will change their mindset. I would just distance myself.

You are probably right but I can’t get the image of children being locked in a caravan and burning to death.
