Encountered a Dungworth today and used to live next door to Mr and Mrs Sunshine.

I didn't even add earlier that I'm the only person in the world with my name and we're all related - most of the 30 or so of us with our surname live in the UK, a couple have defected to Australia and the US.

BroomHandledMouser · 08/09/2020 20:31

Stacpool

SomewhereEast · 08/09/2020 20:32

Yes Savage & Devine are both not uncommon Irish surnames. Being Irish it never really struck me how random they sound! You also get Rabbit as a surname

Miljea · 08/09/2020 20:33

@HerRoyalNotness

Butts Trebilcock (my dad called him 3 cocks Grin)
Cut in here to say the Cornish name 'Trebilcock' is correctly pronounced Tre BIL co. Not Trebble Cock.
yevans · 08/09/2020 20:37

I had school teachers called Mrs Bacon and Miss Cocaine back in the day

MrsSchadenfreude · 08/09/2020 20:40

Randy Bumgardener’s recently retired. He worked for State Department for a while and then moved to the White House.

I am the only person in the world with my first name and surname combination, as are the DDs. A branch of my family has a very rare name - there are two in UK and about five in Hungary.

DH used to work with a Basil Rainbow.

JustanotherTuesday · 08/09/2020 21:01

I've thought of some other ones.

A grad seconded from China had the family name Pong. She chose herself an anglicised first name, which was quite common for grads. Fanny. She chose Fanny.

Fanny Pong.
