Anyone else feel like this sometimes? Grin

Nah, you're never too old for MN. Mind you, I don't have any grandchildren but I am 60

vodkaredbullgirl · 07/09/2020 20:25

Nope im 51 and still here dont have gran kids.

DramaAlpaca · 07/09/2020 20:29

Me neither. I'm 56 and feel much too young for Gransnet. I don't have grandchildren yet. There are loads of people in their 40s, 50s, 60s and older on here, and there's something for everyone.

WiserOlder · 07/09/2020 20:31

Are the gransnet threads relevant to you?!

Bucking the trend, I'm 54 and a grandma, but still too young for Gransnet!
I've been there, but, it's not very 'me'.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 07/09/2020 20:32

They are very polite on gransnet.

LaureBerthaud · 07/09/2020 20:33

Nope. 50+ with a 16 year old and no intention of moving to GN even when/if I have grandchildren.

Gransnet was a lousy (ageist) idea and I'd be amazed if it was a financial success.

@DobbyTheHouseElk

They are very polite on gransnet.
Ah don’t think I’ll be going over there for a long time then. Grin

I’m strangely addicted to reading GransNet! (50 with a nine year old)

LaureBerthaud · 08/09/2020 09:07

It's like a glimpse into the future and, at times, quite sad and scary.

Nestme · 08/09/2020 09:10

No chance. Hitting 50, work FT, youngest is 9, no relevance to me.

Things like that prematurely age you imo.

Seeline · 08/09/2020 09:17

THe only time I feel slightly too old is when people are moaning about their elderly MIL, or that their elderly parents can't cope with technology/SM/phone etc and then go onto explain that they are in their 50s Grin

I'm 52, my youngest is 16. I seem to manage with technology, phones etc (although sometimes having teens is useful Wink )

ElizabethMainwaring · 08/09/2020 09:20

Gransnet is far more visually appealing.
I love the typeface and the colour palette.

(Does that suggest that I'm too old? Blush(48))

AnnieRich · 08/09/2020 09:24

I am in my late sixties and a grandparent. I rarely feel too old for Mumsnet, but definitely feel too young for Gransnet.

Enko · 08/09/2020 09:24

Yes I feel that way op. Looking at empty nest this year dd1 will be home but has started her first year as nqt so will be busy her 3 siblings all at uni or abroad only me the dog and dh.. i will admit i had not looked at gn as i am not a granby and i suspect it will be 5 to 10 years before I am but perhaps I should venture a look.

However I do feel like I'm kinda in limbo not fitting anywhere

unmarkedbythat · 08/09/2020 09:55

I don't think you can be too old for MN.
