Year 7 boys books

My Y7 boy needs to have a reading book sent to school daily. He's a good reader and has read all the Tom Gates, David Walliams and Roald Dahl books...

Any ideas for something similar but also any ideas for something to stretch him a bit more? He's a quick reader so I'll run out of ideas!

Does the school not have some recommendations on its website? Here are some suggestions www.st-bedes.org.uk/Curriculum/English/

I recently googled book lists for year 7 there were loads it gave us some ideas. My dd chose Adrian mole series off the list and has loved reading them. She also read the boy at the back of the class. Both she said would be good for her twin brother to read.

No it was a really helpful letter saying the library is shut and if they don't have a book with them everyday they'll get detention Hmm

They are fantastic ideas thank you!

Zoobreak - Korman
Treasure hunters series - Patterson
Holes
HIVE
Alex Rider
The Falcon Chronicles

The OP on this thread has a lot of good series. Some of the suggestions of Dickens would be a very big leap from David Walliams but might be useful for year 8.

My DS enjoyed these-

If he likes football- Jamie Johnson series by Dan Freedman (it’s about a teenage footballer!)
The Hunger games trilogy by Suzanne Collins
The Alex Rider series by Antony Horowitz (like a teenage James Bond!) or the Young Bond series
Any book by Tom Hoyle (Thirteen, Spiders...)
Any book by Frank Cottrell Boyce (millions, the un forgotten coat..)
Boy Underwater by Adam Baron, Wonder by RJ Palacio.

Mine enjoyed the Chris Ryan teen books. There are three series - Special Forces Cadets is the newest but there's also Alpha Force and Agent 21. They're adventure/thriller/spy type stories.
