Anyone else's children not back at school yet?

Goes back Thursday.

This has been a very long summer. Then there's teacher training days, welcome to Year 7 day and then finally everyone else.

We had planned a holiday to take advantage of this time...but then Covid happened.

Anyone else still have DC at home?

My daughter is in Year 9 and she had a half day on Friday, off today as Year 10/11 were in, the school are doing a staggered return. She’s back tomorrow properly!

Me. I convinced myself they were back today and was looking forward to a quiet day with the toddler (Mondays are my day off).
Checked the school calendar and realised it's tomorrow. I was unreasonably disappointed about that fact. I love them to bits but after 6 months that one day nearly tipped me over the edge 🤣

Mine go back in 3 sleeps Wink

They are teenagers and it's been a teenage boys dream, they've moped about for too long - I can't blinking wait, they have turned nocturnal!!!

We went back on the 9th a couple of years ago, just the way the days fell.

Secondaries often do have a slight phasing for y7 and y12 a day before others even in normal years with induction programmes and exams.
