Facebook is suggesting I use Hashtags ...thought that was a no no!!

So on my notifications is saying add hashtags to posts which I thought was a no no on FB always thought it looked abit strange.I only use them on Twitter or IG
Is this the new "thing"???

Apparently it's suggesting that you use them to help searches but I was always told that they look untidy on FB and a no no

I guess it depends. If you’re using it to sell things or promote a business then I suppose they could help in the same way as they help on Twitter and IG because people can search for specific words and search terms. If you’re using a bunch of hashtags on a post a random picture of a rainbow you took, then no, and people would probably find it really annoying.
