11 year age gap, does this mean I could go over due?

Hi, i had my daughter 11 years ago. I'm due my son very soon. I was 2 days early on my first. I've been told by loads of people that the body can forget you've had one before and you go over on the second due to the age gap. I know there is nothing I can do either way but is there anyone that's had a big age gap and went overdue. 🤦‍♀️ I know I sound silly but I'm so tired and uncomfortable now.

Never heard that before.

By that logic, surely no firstborn would be born early ? Confused

I suspect every baby arrives when they are ready.

I had a 12 year gap between my 3rd and 4th and yes I was overdue and had to be induced , that worked the 3rd time . Good luck !

Surely any pregnancy can go overdue?

I went over on all my pgs, the final one was 13 days over, omg. One reason why that was the last baby! Hehe.

I have 6 dc. All roughly 2 years apart. 10 yr age gap between first and last. With the exception of my fourth every one of them was late. (by around 10 days!) my last was 16 days late! (and yes, I did have to fight not to be induced!!) I figured it was just how my body grew babies! (they are all now aged 12 - 22 and very fit and healthy!)

I don't really think there is any accuracy to this. My SIL has a 10 year age gap between DD and DS. DS was born at 37.5 weeks! I think a baby arrives when they want. I went 13 days overdue with my DS and now pregnant with DC2 and I have no doubt I will go overdue this time. Although, my cycle was shorter when I conceived this baby so who knows? A midwife told me that due dates are calculated based on everyone having a 28 day cycle. I had a 33 or 35 day cycle with DD (I can't quite remember) with this DC I had a 25 day one so we will see in March next year if there is any accuracy to this theory lol x

I have huuuge gaps between my 4 (21 years between the oldest and youngest)
All 4 of mine were between 10 days and 2.2 weeks over. I think its just what my body does.

I've not heard if it makes any difference if there are bigger gaps.
My youngest was my longest overdue.

It's a pain being overdue buy at least you know it won't be too long until it happens.
