Mont Blanc experts

Just putting this in chat for traffic. Thanks in advance

I am lucky enough to have a beautiful Mont Blanc fountain pen. I have always had bleed through on any paper I use - apart from my Clik notebook.

The ink always seems to flood the nib. It is a relatively new nib. It is a medium. Would I be better with a fine nib. I find I only use my pen for writing cards as it's too messy for anything smaller.

Can anyone help?

Sometimes the ink and the pen do not go together.
I have one fountain pen that only works with a certain brand of ink (Pelikan) and another pen that takes everything - sth to do with ink consistency and openings.

I am using Mont Blanc ink - I don't want to risk using another

Mmh - that is puzzling. Bleeding usually has to do with the quality of the paper (g/m2). Did you look hat the nib through a looking glass, very fine dust particles may cause flodding.

I will have a look - thank you
