What essentials did you buy for your baby prior to being born? I'm sure I've got everything but if anyone has anything that made their life and their babies life alot better then let me know! Thanks Smile

Infacol for wind, if bottle feeding. I'm not sure it did much, but helped me psychologically!!

To be honest, if you have the main things for clothing, feeding and changing, I wouldn't worry too much about anything else. Babies don't do much for the first few months anyway. You can always buy what you need as you go along.

Babies need very little in reality; somewhere to sleep, vests and baby grows, bottles if you are FF, muslin cloths.

You actually need more to make your life easier; batch cook food so you dont need to cook. Get a thermos coffee cup so your tea/coffee stays warm, comfy pjs, lavender and tea tree for your bath to help healing if you get stitches, a prep machine if you are FF, lanolin cream if you are BF.

I found the next to me crib to be invaluable with a newborn.

Stretchy wrap sling and sucky snot extractor were both lifesavers.

A nappy caddy! Ours is a soft box type of thing from amazon with compartments. It's in the living room and has all the essential bits in and has been invaluable just to have things close by. It also looks nice. I take it upstairs with me when needed. I liked it so much I bought another for his clothes for those inevitable vomits and poo explosions. Will use them for putting toys away in when he's older

And definitely muslins. About a million should do it :)

Thanks so much for all the tips! I'm a FTM so I constantly feel like I'm forgetting something to the point where I'm overbuying😆
