On my street it's mainly people going for a walk

OP posts:
Standrewsschool · 05/09/2020 18:26

People taking dogs for walks

Families - kids on scooters or walking

Hermes delivery van

Tesco/ocado/asda delivery vans

Boredbumhead · 05/09/2020 18:29

We're in a cul de sac so very little. The very tall thin man coming and going with his very short round wife 🤣. People walking dogs. Tweens occasionally playing outside. Very little tbh. In our other house, people and going to the adjacent campsite or next door feeding their pigs.

FlamingoAndJohn · 05/09/2020 18:34

Next-door-but-one’s children playing in the street most of the day. Various cats. Very little traffic, although we are a through road we don’t go anywhere.

Twospaniels · 05/09/2020 18:41

Neighbours gardening. Neighbour cutting the grass on the green. Walkers, cyclists, horseriders. Next doors cat, pheasants and moorhens and other wild birds.
I am so lucky to live in a dead end lane with only 10 houses. The lane turns into a footpath across fields.
I hope I never have to move from here.

nildesparandum · 05/09/2020 18:48

Police ''visiting'' residents, a drug dealer plying his trade from a parked car, not at the same time of course
The occasional bus, plenty of cars parked or driving past.Various delivery vans and Deliveroo bikers.People walking past eating something, the occasional whiff of weed from a garden.
Nothing else much.

yikesanotherbooboo · 05/09/2020 18:52

Dog walkers and learner drivers

rainwaterflow · 05/09/2020 18:53

People queuing at the bus stop.

People going into the tube station.

Greengrocer market stall “three for a paaaaand darling.”

Nepali food van.

Non-brand name fried chicken restaurant.

Boats going down the Thames.

Sometimes foxes.

OhTheRoses · 05/09/2020 18:55

No much. 8 houses and we are gated. Supermarket deliveries. Mobile car valet service. Gardeners.

Lockdownseperation · 05/09/2020 18:56

Trees with little toy gardens and painted stones around them.

Children scooting/walking to school.

Food and amazon deliveries and the Hermes guy.

Neighbour power washing his car and this wife shouting at their older children. They are actually a lovely couple.

Still lots of rainbows and window decorations from lock down.

Plussizejumpsuit · 05/09/2020 18:57

Not much but there is a man with a very loud car. Like one of those rally type cars. The fucking engine is like a light aircraft. Mainly people walking up and down. I do say hello to quire a lot of my neighbours which is nice especially as we're quiet urban in locations.

There's a pub a bit further out the back I can see. I did see some people starting a fight the other week!

FUTeams · 05/09/2020 19:02

Skips

HeronLanyon · 05/09/2020 19:12

People waking to work
Families walking to school
People sitting out at restaurants pubs and cafes
Street sweepers
Neighbours sitting out
Tourists/visitors
Royal Mail vans
Rubbish collections
Delivery vans - food and parcels.
Dogs being walked.
Seagulls
Foxes - every time I’m out or look out late they are sloping around.
Scaffolding/ers - lots of renovations here.

BadEyeBri · 05/09/2020 19:19

Cows and a donkey

MrMagoo100 · 05/09/2020 19:21

Mother across the street who gets into her car each day at 12pm to breast feed her 8 year old daughter.

They don't drive anywhere. They just sit there. They then go back inside.

Mummadeeze · 05/09/2020 19:24

So many spiders! We have hedges lining the path outside our houses and there are massive spiders and webs everywhere!

RubyJack · 05/09/2020 19:25

Tractors and Horse boxes

WitsEnding · 05/09/2020 19:28

Traffic lights. Continual stream of cars, buses, people walking to work, park, shops, or pub, people waiting at bus stops (often bus drivers going off duty), until 8pm or so. Couples going out for the evening. Police or ambulance several times a day or night, lights and sirens blaring.

Neighbour with dementia looking out of the window or hovering in her front garden. Other neighbours gardening.

Much more interesting than it was in lockdown.

cheeseislife8 · 05/09/2020 19:31

Lots of cats around us. People walking dogs, parking their cars, Amazon deliveries. And theres a guy with a tricycle comes past a couple if times a day

GreyGardens88 · 05/09/2020 19:34

Most days we have a woman shouting at the police station next door calling them racists for an hour at a time

SqidgeBum · 05/09/2020 19:36

My neighbours son edging the grass outside the house to within a millimetre, despite the fact that my neighbour died 2 months ago and the house sold 3 weeks ago 🤷‍♀️
Another neighbour spending 4 hours washing his van every Saturday. I dont think he likes his wife.
Lots of home help cars, ambulances, and pharmacy home delivery vans.
Work vans with lots of plasterboard.

sweetbirdofjuice · 05/09/2020 19:41

funnily enough, a lot of people singing or rapping to themselves! Big city but quiet road next to a park so they probably think nobody can hear with the headphones on. It's quite a lovely thing! cats, foxes, squirrels, kids on bikes, loads of joggers. Awesomely, some nights since lockdown, a pizza van

AgeLikeWine · 05/09/2020 19:42

Horses being ridden, cattle and sheep grazing, tractors ploughing or muck spreading, crops growing (currently maize in the field across the road), Combine Harvesters harvesting.

hastingsmua1 · 05/09/2020 19:46

I think one of my neighbours might be a dog breeder as he’s always walking with about 6 beagle puppies, and once I saw him with an adult beagle.

They’re my fav dog breed so no complaints

Runnerduck34 · 05/09/2020 19:49

Cyclists, joggers, postman/ delivery drivers and cars!

Dazzedandconfused · 05/09/2020 19:53

Kids on bikes and scooters, people gardening or walking their dogs.
I live in a typical suburban street now but lived in plenty dodgy areas as a teenager. I'd regularly see smashed glass or sections of my street would be corned off by the police. On one occasion a tent covering a murdered body!
