On my street it's mainly people going for a walk

OP posts:
DobbyTheHouseElk · 05/09/2020 17:24

The occasional person walking a dog. Very quiet here.

MrsPnut · 05/09/2020 17:25

Horses, walkers, kids playing in the park opposite our house.

BarkandCheese · 05/09/2020 17:26

Toddlers and babies being dropped off or picked up from the nursery, boys from the super selective grammar round the corner having a sneaky fag, the hippyish very bearded man opposite doing endless mystery DIY projects in his front garden and people carrying tote bags putting their masks on or taking them off on their way to or from the corner shop.

Ex's street: drug deals bins and flytipped furniture.

My street: ( can't see much from the flat) traffic: revving motorbikes, speeding, double decker buses and articulated lorries trying to pass on a 90 degree bend. fighting

So classy!

Bumfuzzled · 05/09/2020 17:35

People walking down the hill with surfboards and beach gear. Twice a day the neighbour walks past with his alpacas. Lots of hikers looking for the coast path. Too many cars searching for a nonexistent free car parking space.

Yankathebear · 05/09/2020 17:37

Tractors and cows being hearded in and out the field.

CherryPavlova · 05/09/2020 17:42

We can’t really see anything as the house is set back from the road.
If I were by the gates, I’d see sheep being moved, tractors, weekend cyclists and walkers, neighbours walking their dogs or doing ponies, the odd Ocado van.

Toomuchtooyoung01 · 05/09/2020 17:43

People walking
Amazon deliveries

Bunnybigears · 05/09/2020 17:46

People walking to school or the shops during the day. During the evening/night its drunks, people arguing, the police, ambulances.

FallonsTeaRoom · 05/09/2020 17:50

Lots of agricultural vehicles. A couple of dog walkers. Teenage boys playing chicken on bikes.

Ffsnosexallowed · 05/09/2020 17:53

The odd dog walker, neighbours off for a walk, delivery vans. An elderly Asian gent started regularly walking past the house (daily). He started when the clap for carers was happening, so we always give him a clip when we see him

passthemustard · 05/09/2020 17:55

@Coldemort 🤢🤢🤢🤢

SummerTimeSunshine · 05/09/2020 17:56

One guy is obsessed with his car and seems to constantly vacuum and polish it.

Another bloke likes to faff around tinkering with his bike.

Poser type guy seems to constantly take his dog a walk (I figure at least 8 times a day).

Another couple are constantly sweeping the leaves in their garden or faffing around with their marque/garden furniture.

Neighbours elderly parents are constant visiting their garden for BBQs/mini social gatherings of family.

Apart from that the only visitors around here seem to be professional dog walkers and cleaners.

It’s all incredibly dull round here.

Lunaballoon · 05/09/2020 17:57

@NiceGerbil I think we might live on the same street!

Bloodybridget · 05/09/2020 17:58

Adults and children walking, cycling and scooting; stand-offs when there's no room for two vehicles to pass and neither wants to reverse; deliveries; litter, dog poo and half eaten kebabs (usually the salad and bread); sometimes a fox; builders; various things on people's front walls, or on the pavement, hoping for new homes (this can work very well, we have often offered, and picked up).

AdoraBell · 05/09/2020 18:02

People walking/running/cycling/dog walking. Neighbours gardening. Cars, vans and lorries driving past. Lots of ambulances, we’re near a local dispatch centre and a minor injury unit.

Small local pub. Drunks walking home after last orders.

pushananas · 05/09/2020 18:04

Not much, it's a quiet road with not many houses. The bin lorry came on Tuesday and a neighbour had a DPD delivery van on Thursday. My neighbours don't seem to ever go anywhere.

Cam2020 · 05/09/2020 18:06

Cats, dog walkers and families getting into cars or walking, parked cars everywhere.

Baaaahhhhh · 05/09/2020 18:09

Walkers, lots, dog walkers, families walking, old people walking, actual proper rucksack and stick walkers. Horse riders. Tractors. Bastard speeders doing 80 on our 30 rural road. Ocado/Tesco/Waitrose deliveries, DPD, Amazon deliveries.

Baaaahhhhh · 05/09/2020 18:10

Agh - Forgot the sodding bicycles...... we are on a "route", so get packs of lycra clad cycling ninja's, shouting and swearing as they ride past. Grrrrrrr.

nowaitaminute · 05/09/2020 18:11

🤔🤔🤔 tractors... that's it really

icelollycraving · 05/09/2020 18:12

DPD vans, Amazon vans, Ocado vans, kids on bikes, scooters, kids doing dance routines they’ve made up, people going to work and coming home. Subarban estate. Though no no one would call it an estate Smile

lumpychocolate · 05/09/2020 18:19

Sheep and horses. Quite nice tbh.

MrsPworkingmummy · 05/09/2020 18:21

We live at the end of a Victorian private road in a city centre. Our street is full of established trees, squirrels, cast iron Street lights, cars parked occasionally, children playing, residents accessing their properties and the occasional nosy parker who walks down the street for a neb. Outside the private street on the public road there's a parked caravan, a train track, charvas walking to and from town to the deprived estate we're very close to, police cars, builder's vehicles. We could have a millionaire walk past one second, then a heroin addict the next. It's very diverse!

Namechange8471 · 05/09/2020 18:24

Children on bikes
People walking dogs
Lots of old people
