Can you see anyone’s will?

Who has the right to see a will after the death of someone? Just the executor? How do you know if they are following it? Just trust?

Anyone know the procedure?

When a grant of probate is issued to the executor after the death anyone can get a copy from the probate registry and it will have a copy of the will attached.

AFAIK, they are public docs and anyone can get a copy.

Where did the deceased live? In England and Wales, you can pay a fee to search probate records once it's been granted.

But if probate isn’t required then wills do not become public.

You can get a copy sent by email - costs about £2 from memory.
