Has anyone else ever had this.

Been on my periods for going on 3 weeks now. An the bleed isn't getting any lighter at all if anything I'm just getting heavier. Also a lot of blood like jelly clots. Sorry for TMI.

I had the coil taken out in June so thinking can it be because of that?

Has anyone else ever experienced this. Not sure what to do

My mom has this, it was uterine fibroids.

My current period started 19 months ago and am waiting on a hysterectomy. Mine isn't fibroids, they don't know what is causing it. It might just be your cycle resetting now your coil is out, but probably worth speaking to your GP.

Definitely worth a chat with your GP about it, 3 weeks is a long time to be bleeding.

You need to be thinking about your iron levels too if your blood loss is heavy. How are you feeling?

I suffered from this... I was bleeding for 18 days then my period would stop and start again in 2 weeks. So I was having 2 periods a month.

It's caused by hormonal imbalance. I was told to use primrose oil to regulate it.(take it for 3 months, have a 2 week break and start again) And luckily it brought my cycle back to 28 days. You need to increase your intake of
omega - 3 foods. Eat more oily fish, flaxseeds etc...

I managed to get a phone consultation with my GP and she has prescribed some medication to calm the periods down. She said if the medication doesn't help within 5 days then I should call back and get booked in for a blood test so they can check any other issues.

I just feel very drained and feel as though I have 0 energy throughout the day. Also legs feel so weak and numb and have a backache. It's difficult because i have DD who's 1.

But let's hope these tablets make a difference
