Forgot to put ice cream in freezer after delivery yesterday!!!

Had a total brain freeze (haha) after putting chilled away and left everything else in bags in the vestibule. That was all cupboard stuff, I totally forgot the ice cream

I have put it in now - I know texture will be shot, but it should be safe to eat, shouldn’t it? (Organic vanilla)

It’ll be horrible to eat considering the texture - it’s surely got to be better for you to throw it?

I don't think it will be unsafe but it will get lots of ice crystals in it so it won't be the same.

I think there are cake recipes that use melted ice cream.

No I wouldn’t. I am very gung ho about use by dates etc but melted re frozen ice cream is a real no no, it is an absolute paradise for germs.

You can't eat it. Refrozen ice-cream is potentially full of bacteria. One of the most dangerous foodie things to do.
