Dentist appointment

My dentist has cancelled mine and my children’s routine checkups until next year! Apparently they were told to cancel routine appointments to focus on the patients that needed treatment. Obviously there is a back up due to the lock down. Is this the case across the country? She told me it was from NHS guidance. It seems a bit cut your nose off despite your face as surely the routine checkups can stop any need for further treatment!

Well, if I had toothache, or had chipped a tooth or had a hole in a tooth I'd like to hope I had priority ove someone who wanted to just 'check they were okay', wouldn't you ?

I mean, it's not ideal - it means my dd misses her last chance of a free check up as she turns 19 Grin - but, considering the backlog they have, it does seem the mose sensible way forward.
