We’ve got a proper California now but we used to have a ‘conversion’. DH bought a long wheel base builder’s van and spent a weekend building a bed base and some storage. Then he chucked in an Ikea mattress and we went off around Europe.

For stealth camping! I’m having much fun converting my £250 Ford Focus for now which is downright luxurious for one of me but 12 month goal is a real van.
