I Miss Him

My DP recently got a new job working shift patterns. We used to work in similar roles doing standard 9-5 jobs.

He works two 13 hour shifts one weekend, and the other we have his children.

He works most evenings and when he doesn't, we have the children.

I miss him! I feel like I never get any time with him anymore. He is shattered most of the time and I only ever really see him to go to bed (and not for the exciting reason!).

What do you do to occupy your time and focus less on missing your partner? I have a puppy who is rather demanding (but very cute!) so I find it hard to even watch half an hour of TV uninterrupted.

Just feel so lonely! xx

I know what you mean. Dh has started a new venture as well as running the family business and lately I feel like I never see him. I have 3 dds though so they are good company but I just entertain myself mainly either reading or watching Netflix. Sometimes I go visit family for a bit of adult conversation.

It is important though to make time for each other at intervals. Maybe go away for a couple of nights away from the usual routine.

I hadn't thought about reading; I have so many books I haven't read yet, so that is a great idea.

I will also suggest that we book a couple of nights away, just for us. I love my DSC, but it isn't the same quality time with DP when they are with us xx
