Any tips for days when you struggled to get started?

I'm just not feeling it today. I'm sort of vaguely pissed off about a few things but not enough to have a firey rage, have some work to do but not so much I feel pressure, a few things to do around the house but all just a bit dull.

I'm just a bit meh. I cant reward myself with coffee and a biscuit as I've already overindulged Blush

Any tips? I'm currently just dicking about on Facebook, MN and Rightmove and not achieving anything, and I know I'll live to regret it...

I always start with collecting any washing up and dirty washing from around the house and running the washing machine and dishwasher. Once those are going and I know something has been done it gets easier. Loud music also helps, I like meatloaf while rage tidying, especially if the neighbours are out

Thanks. Agree that is a good place to start.

Also music is a good idea - I think sitting in silence is almost making me almost rooted to the spot!

Music, 30 minute timer and put your phone out of reach. See what you can do in 30 minutes, its very motivating.

I'm the Queen of procrastination but I know I will feel so much better if I actually get on with a few things even if just a bit of tidying up. Very easy to just sit and waste time yes indeed

I start each day off with a list. Only a small list which mostly easily achievable goals for the day. I tick them off as I go and can see I’ve achieved something.
Also, getting dressed! When I’m in my pjs I don’t do anything!

Write yourself a list of what you need to do. As others have said, put some music on and do something on the list. Once you've ticked something off the rest gets easier.

Thank you all - I think WFH is great but it can be hard to motivate yourself at times and I feel really isolated in the quietness of the house when the kids are out. Music on, write a list. Boom.
