How to make a family tree

Hi All

My nan passed away yesterday and it got me thinking of the happy times we spent together.

Many years ago we had started to put together a family tree and I was amazed at how many family members she remembered. It was a bit messy and I promised her I would redo it neatly.

Unfortunately I lost that work after many house moves and it makes me so sad I never finished our little project.

It would mean so much to me if I could have a big family tree done properly. I could get a lot of information from other members of the family.

To help me with this has anyone done this before, and share some tips.

Is there a template on Excel or an app they recommend.

Is it possible to print it out across many pages, if so how? Any help would be appreciated.

Also most of the family were not born in the UK if that helps eliminate some options.

Thanks.

Ancestry.com has a print feature. Once you have the info you want you could then buy a background tree and fill in the names.

Family tree charts/templates and kits readily available online.

Thanks @fallfallfall

I'll have a look at ancestry.com

I did a quick Google search and there are so many templates and wondered if anyone had any experience of one that worked particularly well for them.

Thanks again.

I'm sorry about your nan Flowers

I could be wrong about this as it's been a few years since I used Ancestry, but I'm pretty sure that once you have input the information for each family member, you can flow it into any of the family tree templates to see which one you like best.
