Cleaning jewellery help please

I just dug out my Pandora bracelet (silver) and used some old silver cleaner in a tin (Silvo) to clean it up. But now it stinks.

Does anyone use just Fairy liquid and water to clean things and will this work for gold and diamond rings. I’m always scared of loosening diamonds.

Any tips would be helpful thanks.

I clean my white gold and diamond rings with fairy, very hot water and a tiny toothbrush. Works a treat.

Argos used to sell a jewellery cleaning kit for £5.99, we’ve had ours for years and still have plenty left. It does a really good job

I’ll have a look if they still do it

Still on their website and it’s now £4.99, bargain

Pandora is funny to clean. I took my chain bracelet to a jeweller and they ruined it. It is now dull and looks horrible. They knew they had ruined it and offered to have another go which made no difference at all. They tried making excuses such as Pandora is not proper silver.

My Pandora is shiny but I will soak it in Fairy to get rid of the smell.

Thanks @TeapotCollection off to the Argos website!
