So much negativity out there so I wanted to share this link in case it helps. I'm going to try this focus every time the media gets me down/makes me feel bad about myself with yet another article which has me feeling worse about my look

So nice to see something like this ☺️ The media effects so many people in different ways. I wish I could put some weight on, would love to be a size 14 but just can't get there...

Well I’m at the stage now I buy what will fit I’ve brought size Chinese size 26 28 silk knickers they fit me beautiful, I buy xlarge t shirts and XX football shorts as they fit, jeans are 22 room for when putting on less pulling as it hurts hands, I’m comfortable now. I no longer care about being a certain size no I’m not huge but at 54 life’s too short to be miserable over clothes, I’ve spent too much of my life hating my body because I was fat and would amount to nothing, according to the aunt who brought me up, oh yes tattoos I have and love and a number 2 haircut, love it so much more comfortable at nigh with sweats.

This is great, thank you for this! I've always thought the "love your body" thing was too unrealistic and put too much pressure on us to be 100% positive no matter what. This happy medium feels just right.

I found this the other day. It really made me think.

I also got upset seeing people my age without wrinkles etc. Then I read somewhere that growing old is a privilege that is denied to so many. After that I’m proud of my wrinkles and grateful to get them.

What our bodies do for us to enable us to live is the entire reason we even have an emotional connection to our bodies and experience distress about our body being damaged or changed. I don't see how what they're talking about is new?!

Being comfortable with your body for enabling you to survive is what I would have considered "positive body image" not all the weird "I'm a goddess" stuff they were talking about.
