Does this email sound odd?

I emailed Superdrug with a question about one of my orders, they replied asking for my billing address and date of birth. Dunno why they need my date of birth and if they have my order number then why do they need my billing address? I can see that under my order, surely they can too? My gut reaction is it's dodgy, but the email address is the right one for Superdrug.

Probably to confirm your ID

If you haven't given your dob as part of the original order it can't be of any use in tracking? Particularly if you've given them the order number.

They've just asked for my date of birth in the live chat too! Fair enough. I think maybe it's because I used to wrong address for my Superdrug account (which I didn't realise until after I started this damn thread.) Although how would I know the order number unless it was me? (It was something about Beautycard points, nothing major.)

How can you use the wrong address? .

Thinking about it, they may just be checking your over 18.

Auto fill. I have two email addresses that are almost identical and auto fill used the wrong one.

The over 18 thing may be a possibility.
