If you've visited since covid, can I ask a few questions please? Did it feel clean (there's normally greasy prints over seating at ours)? Did you have to wear a mask and how far apart where people sat?

Yes twice and both times were different. First cinema was socially distanced and fairly clean but didn’t feel sparkling. No masks worn during the film. Second cinema was very clean but masks had to be kept on during the entire (very long) film which I wasn’t pleased about as it was socially distanced so didn’t feel necessary. Both cinemas were in London

Yes twice
One a small cinema with 6 of us in there. I refuse to wear a mask anyway.
Everyone came out maskless.
Second one bigger cinema , but still only 6 in and again, everyone took off their face nappies.

I was more at risk of dying from boredom ( tenet and inception) than covid.

I went last week, the booking system means that strangers are prevented from sitting near you, which is nice. Masks only whilst walking through corridors. Everything was extremely clean and the staff were super nice.

It was actually a very pleasant experience.

I've been once and it was very clean. We could take our masks off once seated for the movie and every second row was empty, we also had no once else sitting in our row at all.

Thanks for your replies. It doesn't actually bother me wearing a mask in the cinema, but just good to know what the protocol is. However, I wouldn't want people too close and to feel it's clean.

Face nappies? Are you 12?

Hi @starfish4. My dh works for a cinema chain and they have implemented lots of new safety measures. In terms of seating for his chain (and I believe it’s similar across the board) their booking system will automatically block off the seats in front and behind you and also 2 seats either side of you so you have plenty of room around you. Hope that helps. Enjoy your film! ( and I LOVED Tenet by the way)
