Hi, posting here for traffic.

Hi all just looking for some advice. I have just logged on to my tax credits and discovered they have dropped a very large amount each week. My circumstances haven't changed and I earned very similar amounts this year and last year so I really don't understand why. My daughter turned 16 in July ( I know this can change things) but she is staying on at school full time. I'd be very grateful for any advice before I call them tomorrow.

I don't really know, but as long as you get paperwork together so you are armed you can phone them first thing and find out.

No point worrying about it right at this second, try to get some rest. I know how horrible it is fretting about bills Flowers

If you can login online just update details that she's staying in full time education. Once they have all the details they are quite quick in sorting it out.

Same thing has happened to me - son turned 16 - I informed them that he is staying on to do A Levels. My payment has completely vanished - nothing showing on my account. Their webchat is constantly unavailable - I can't get through on the phone - it keeps cutting out. When I tried to make enquiries a couple of days ago the filtering process took me through to 'Child Benefit' - they could not access the child tax credit information. This now puts me in an impossible situation financially.

Hi all, thankyou for replying. So I phoned them this morning and finally got through after 30 minutes. She said that they have received my information about my daughter staying in education but they haven't processed it yet ( I sent it back at the end of June) i just have to wait until it's processed and it will be backdated to make up for the shortfall! So basically I'm nearly £100 a week down until they decide to pull their fingers out and process the information!
