Dd loves Malory towers so for her birthday I'm going to put together a midnight feast in an old fashioned wooden box. But I can't decide what to have written on the box. Any ideas?

Jane's midnight feast
Jane's midnight feast, North Tower, Malory Towers
Jane's tuck box (maybe more Roald Dahl though...)

I think they had tuck boxes at St Claire's even if they didn't at Malory Towers.

The middle one perfect, you could add Common Room.

What are you putting in it? Sardines and a tin of milk?

@witchend that's interesting, hoping to get her some St Clare's books too.

@pubicmenace dd is unfortunately really fussy so I can't theme the contents too closely. Definitely some hot chocolate and dark chocolate batons from hotel chocolat and some marshmallows but not sure what else yet.

I thought Malory Towers had tuck boxes, but I read an awful lot of Enid Blyton so it could have been a different book I guess.

I would think maybe "Jane's Tuck Box" with an old-fashioned cardboard luggage label with "Jane Smith, North Tower, Malory Towers" on it maybe?

@nacreous I like the luggage label, thanks!!

Could you put a note inside saying where the feast will take place? Did they not have a midnight feast at the pool once? Then you could say who is to collect the food, so your dsughters name plus Darrell, Sally , Alicia etc

We had midnight feasts at our boarding school.

Legally we needed a locker, but the teachers were against it, so my mum complied with their thoughts and gave me a tiny locking box you’d use for loose change. I would fill it full of polos...... once I remember slicing some malt loaf and taking it to school, but by the time we ate it days later, it was very stale.......

Maybe those are ideas not to do!!
