Making our way through the new Disney Plus platform and I can't stop noticing how terrible so many of the dad's are!
Here are my contenders... Feel free to add your own! And cast your vote.
Contender #1 >> Beauty and the Beast
On top of his hugely dither-y personality he allows Belle to be kidnapped by a beast, fails to protect her from Gaston's threatening advances and is all round pretty hopeless.
Contender #2 >> Frozen
Tells his daughters very little of their history, tells Elsa to hide herself and all emotions, allows Anna to grow up as incredibly lonely and vulnerable to male attention!
Contender #3 >> Moana
Doesn't support his daughter, tells her she can't leave, gets really mad at her and threatens to burn the boats she wants to use to save their island from starvation.
Contender #4 Aladdin
Is magically controlled by an evil sorcerer, tries to force his daughter to marry, doesn't support her ambition and generally useless.
Special mentions go to Jane's dad in Tarzan for silliness and Mufassa for not expelling Scar.
