Learning Chinese resources?

Can anyone point me to any good resources, either online or books that I can order in, that can help me with Chinese (mandarin). I've started it on duolingo and really enjoying it but feel that there are gaps and I'm maybe missing explanations for things that I might find elsewhere. It would be good to get practice of writing it from the beginning too. Any pointers from more experienced learners would be really appreciated. I'm generally good at learning languages but struggling a wee bit with this.

I like the Chineasy books. Everything resource-wise seems a lot more user-friendly than when I studied Korean 20 years ago. Eye-catching and it all makes more sense.

Oh I like the look of the chineasy ones as I think it might be the characters I'm struggling with.

I would recommend starting watch some Chinese dramas. There are quite a good number of them available from streaming platform like Netflix or Amazon.

I would recommend The Longest Day in Chang’an if you like period drama or Day and Night if you prefer modern one.

I watched both during the never ending lockdown and they are really really good!
