Teenage bedrooms - internet ideal v reality

Dd and I have just done a bit of a makeover of her bedroom as it’s been pretty much the same since she was much younger and she is now a teen. I was having a bit of a browse on various websites for inspiration and it seemed to me that so many of the bedrooms featured as teenage bedrooms were so far from what is likely to be realistic. It’s probably also the fact that many of these were from US websites, and I think American aspirational decor is a lot more traditional/conventional. Also, the rooms tend to be huge, whereas I think in general U.K. bedrooms tend to be a lot smaller unless you are lucky enough to live in a large manor...
