Any estates agents out there who can answer this question?

So I had my house valued for divorce by 3 separate agents. All 3 came with a pack of houses which sold in the street and gave me a price, all 3 agents came back with the same value.

When I got my husbands court forms and his 2 valuations they were the same companies I used but the valuations were widely higher. No houses in the area, even bigger houses went for the valuations he had. His valuations were £70,000 higher on a house which will sell compared to others in the street at around £200,000.

The valuations were done 4 weeks after mine in March.

Can an estate agent ignore there own valuation and just put down a figure the client wants regardless if it’s possible or not?

No and during divorce proceedings it would be fraudulent to do so.

Can you Speak to them or see if market value had changed within that time, £70K is big jump so it does smell fishy.

The value on my husbands valuation are definitely from his mouth as he used to say this figure to me and I would say no way. The house next to us sold for £100,000 less then the figure he has about 4 years ago.

I emailed but I haven’t had a reply.
