... and March was 6 months ago, where has the year gone?!?

Anyone else think lockdown has gone quite quickly?

Lockdown hasn’t gone quickly enough in my eyes.
Can’t believe we are still playing out this farce.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 01/09/2020 06:39

God no, it's dragged. Agree with Dowser.

So glad DS is back at school this week, he's been so unhappy.

March seems a lifetime away, but August seems to have been far too short.

Won't be long now! 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁💗

Too true. Just thanking his the dc are back to school / college this week and that normality can be restored from an education POV.

I feel as though it has gone quickly. Hopefully the strangest half a year we will ever encounter.

My youngest had her birthday just as lockdown happened- her party never happened. Now she's nearly 7.5. She's only been in the physical presence of 3 children (plus her sister) since then. It's both flown and dragged.

KeepSmiling89 · 01/09/2020 07:38

It's been a strange one. Yeah, it's been a drag and sometimes it still is (especially at work as our services haven't resumed to full normality yet and might not for a long time) but at the same time, Summer just vanished like magic!

KatherineJaneway · 01/09/2020 07:40

I'm wondering how much busier the London office and surrounding areas will be now kids are going back to school.

Personally, time went very slowly in lockdown.

Mrsemcgregor · 01/09/2020 08:22

It’s one of those ones where March feels like it was a lifetime ago but also how the hell have 6 months passed? Like being pregnant or the first year of a babies life.

I have a feeling that when I get home from the school run on Thursday morning and both my children are at school and my DH is at work, I’m going to sit and sob. I’m already beginning to feel overwhelmed.

Me too. I think that is when the reality of everything will sink in as up until now I haven't had any headspace the think.

I feel like someone pressed a pause button in March and I'm still waiting for the Easter holidays to start! Time over lock down to me had the same quality as time with a new born, each individual day dragged but the weeks and months rushed past. Just hoping September brings a bit more normality.
