Provisional driving license

Has anyone applied for one recently? How long did it take to arrive please?

We applied online early July, nothing yet. Couldn't use the passport photo and they needed her signature so had to do by post in the end. Online it still says waiting for paperwork, rang them up but they wouldn't tell me anything. Dd is so disappointed not to be able to learn yet

We did the passport photo route, but they sent a form (by return) that DD had to sign and attach a photo to. Sent that back around a week into July so hoping the licence will arrive soon. Don't want to book any lessons or anything until it does.

I live in Northern Ireland and here learners can’t apply for their licence until at least 2 months before they turn 17.

I wrongly assumed it was the same in GB.

Anyway it arrived today! I’m stunned! Great service after expecting a super slow one.
