Pregnancy Safe and Baby Safe Products

Hello!

Can you please recommend some pregnancy safe products/brands such as body soap/wash, shampoos/conditioners, lotions, etc. that are sold in the UK?

Lastly, can you also recommend safe baby products such as wipes, diapers, soaps, diaper cream, etc.?

I'm not looking for the most fancy and expensive products but definitely safe.

Thank you!

Any personal care product sold in the UK is safe for pregnant women and babies. There isn't extra criteria they need to meet. What kind of risks are you worried about?

As long as bath products don't contain clary sage - they are fine to use during pregnancy. Clary sage during 2nd and 3rd trimesters can bring on contractions.

For baby products, the ranges we've used on DD are:
Wipes - water wipes
Bubble bath/body wash/shampoo - child's farm, Asda little angels, green people, Aveeno, Burts Bees
Nappies - pampers premium (all other brands we tried were too tight around DD's chubby thighs!)
Nappy cream - Sudacrem

For the first 3 weeks of DD's life, she was just washed with water and a muslin. There was no need for products

As pp state - but if you are especially worried then all supermarkets do their own baby brands of stuff which will be milder. I particularly liked the Asda range when mine were little.

(Unlike MsSquiz I did use soap on my babies when born - just a bit of all over wash in warm water and cotton wool for bottoms).

Cheeky Wipes are much better than wet wipes

There are some useful product guides on the website for "Brain Health from Birth" by Rebecca Fett which are low in phthalates etc but many will be expensive. I have chosen some things like Crystal natural deodorant that wasn't particularly expensive, but also buy some "normal" products.

I also like the Burt's Bees Baby range

To add to what a previous poster mentioned about clary sage, you should also avoid any retinol containing skincare products in pregnancy

Thank you! Just want to make sure they are the least chemical-free
as possible.
