How’s Your Sunday Going?

It’s a beautiful day here in Cornwall but we’ve avoided the beaches as no doubt they would be heaving. Clearing out DD11’s room ready to paint & cannot believe the amount of stuff! She keeps every little thing! So satisfying though. The main problem will be getting her to be more tidy once her room is done. It’s a real health hazard at the moment. The recycling people & the charity shop will do very well.
We were going to have bangers mash & baked beans for tea but I have picked up half price curries & rice from Tesco Express. DD will probably have a jacket spud. DH & I are both on holiday for a week. DD starts secondary on Thursday so we’re doing the last little bits to prepare for that. I will need tissues!

My DS is starting secondary school on Thursday too, so today we’ve been out for lunch at Pizza Express and then shopping for his last few bits. His younger sister is happy as we bought her some more story books - she’s quite excited for bedtime as am I Grin.

We’ve just had tea, we had spag bol which I’d already made, just needed to cook the pasta. Tonight I’m getting my foot spa out and have a nice relax. May even paint my toe nails.

It's lovely. Been to the allotment and won a tenner on the lottery so we're having Chinese takeaway for dinner.

Went out for brunch.
Spent a couple of hours doing a wardrobe shift around, and have put all my summer stuff away.
Made blackberry and apple crumbles.
Did a Tesco order.
Read a (terrible) book in the bath.
We're having lazy roast dinner for tea, with bought cauliflower cheese and nut cutlets, followed by crumble and custard.

Took elderly mum to visit dd2 this morning. Did some ironing. Have paella on the go for dinner. Pretty dull day on the whole

Long! Beet pottering with the sheep. General husbandry. Kept off the mountains as they are heaving. Too many visitors About. Time for the holiday season to end.

Pizza and wine for tea.

I’ve been very productive. Out for a run this morning then did a crossword with breakfast. I then made lasagna for tomorrow’s celebration tea (DH is retiring) and one to freeze. And I baked a lemon and blueberry loaf which is too squidgy to give to my guests on Monday so we’ve eaten it. I also baked a double chocolate cake which I was happy with and stored away. I made a roast chicken dinner for Sunday tea and I’ve just put a banana loaf in the oven. It’s been very different but nice.

Having tuna salad for tea and a homemade apple and blackberry crumble and watching The Crown.

Had a lie in and then a long bike ride on Monsal Trail in the Peak District, was bust but great.

I've had a long and busy day today. We went for a walk at Spurn Point. It was windy but cloudy with some sunshine so the best weather for walking in my opinion. I didn't realise how long the path is though and we walked a lot on the soft sand so my hip is killing me now. At one point I didn't think I'd be able to make it back to the Discovery Centre because it was so painful! I'm now sitting on the settee having had some of dh's strong painkillers and am feeling a bit fuzzy and sleepy. Hopefully I'll be able to walk tomorrow!

Not a good day. Got woken up by neighbour early hours playing god knows what, sent him a text saying less volume please, tried to get back to sleep but couldn't, drank a glass of wine hoping to nod off.

That didn't work only gave me a headache.

So feeling tired and headachey today. Never mind. He never normally does that so I'll let him off.
