Is an inflatable hot tub worth it?

I'm seriously considering getting an inflatable hot tub. I've got arthritis and would like to use if for pain relief. Can anyone tell me if its expensive to heat/run? Can you use it year round? Is it easy enough to look after or is it a lot of work?

Could you not access a sauna or steam room once they re-open?

My friend at work has one and says it brilliant for her joints. Her first one got a split that couldn't be repaired so she got a new one and put better protection underneath it.

She does put it away for the winter because it's only under a gazebo, but I suppose if it was in a summer house type construction then it would be fine to have all year through. Apparently it's not made a huge difference to the electricity bill.

We had one and it was ok but I only used it one summer. I found it too much like a hot bath rather than the hot tubs I'd used to before. It didn't seem to use much more electricity than normal. Must dig it out of the shed and sell it.

I could access a health club but when I'm in pain all day its much easier to pop outside 4 times a day for a soak. Electricity use sounds promising
