Does religion give you comfort?

I'm not religious at all.
But I'm watching songs of praise and it's so nice. People are speaking of how religion helps them. It makes me want to be religious, but I'm an atheist through and through.
I'm quite jealous of people who believe and get comfort from that.

Religion gives me a lot of comfort. I honestly believe I would be a different person without it. When bad things have happened, I always believe it’s for a reason, even if the reason isn’t clear. Believing in God doesn’t mean that everything should be perfect, more that you have a guide for the way to live and a purpose to life. I appreciate people of no faith may feel exactly the same but for faith has given me a lot of comfort over the years.
