Am used to having bad bouts of thrush but not for a while normally double on dose of tablet or pessary from the doctors. Due to lock down haven’t been able to get a doc appointment and told to go to pharmacy first pessary came out whole while I was peeing. Then I took the tablet you swallow and another pessary 3 days later. I’m using the cream to relive the itching but 5 days later I’m in so much pain with the itching any tips on relief can’t take yogurt either as it makes me sick.

If you can get the chemist, I'd see if there's anything else they can supply. When I had bad thrush, the GP told me she always recommended using 3 (over alternate nights).

You do need to put it in just before sleep, so not if you're going to get up and wee though! I find the 'chalky' ones better than the gel ones (they do just slip out!!).

Also, you should work out if it's actually thrush. Thrush should respond to the treatment! It could be something else which needs checking out.

try taking grapefruit seed oil. no idea why or how it works but it does.

Also I don't use any and I mean any perfumed or fragranced shower gels or body washes. I only use femfresh because otherwise I know I'll get thrush. Sugary drinks also make me more prone to getting it or a lot of sugar in my diet which baffles me Grin

Do you have classic thrush symptoms? Is the itch internal or external? If not totally worth getting checked out for Lichen Sclerosis as this itches like an absolute bugger and you need steroid cream to relieve it. Also as am menopausal I use Ovestin and Vagifem as vaginal atrophy has left me with dry thinning skin and this can also cause itchiness. You don’t mention your age but I definitely wouldn’t assume it’s thrush automatically, sorry.

Oh and read up on both conditions because in my experience GPs aren’t always up to date Or sympathetic with things like this.

I did put it in at night and then 2 days later it fell out kept using the cream and then I swallowed the tablet yesterday morning Before using another pessary last night.
