I can’t believe how cold it is...

Ok, I know this is the U.K., but it’s only August and I think it was only 3 weeks ago that it was incredibly hot and I was sleeping with the fan on. Tonight I am sitting in bed in a jumper and bed socks. I am in London by the way.

I gutted out my wardrobe today and put all my summer stuff away in a suitcase - including two dresses I haven't even worn yet! It's been wet for weeks and now it's freezing too.

I think you may be a bit early on this. We may get a nicer September. I.hope so anyway !!

I was just thinking about a thread recently complaining about how hot August was every year and I thought about all of the rainy cold Augusts with constant gloom and clouds that we have had in the last 10 years ( i.e A LOT)

I'm actually for the first time in my life quite happy about the cold this year, the summer for me was very much a miss so it was a waste. Plus I was convinced I was experiencing my first hot flush, so I might come to love the cold or so I hear.

Wind was northerly here yesterday so it was certainly chilly. Next week looks more southerly, so I'm hoping for a bit more warmth, I hate the cold and so do my arthritic joints.

It is a bit strange even though it has been forecast for several days. I have found the jumper I want to wear.
