They should have told the man to move. He was the one with the problem not her.

Crapster · 29/08/2020 17:47

She should have told them she identified as a man.

Problem solved.

I suppose they were gojng for what they percieved to be eady option. Mobing one woman rather than two men.

I wouldn't have moved, no matter how long the flight ended up getting delayed by.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/08/2020 17:54

She had paid extra for that seat. If the men had an issue. They should have moved.

sycamorecottage · 29/08/2020 17:59

When the men booked, did they specifically ask for seats either on their own or not with a female passenger beside them? Surely there was somewhere else on the aircraft that they could have sat, which would have been beside a lone male traveller.

Well I hope not because where would that end?

People being able to request they don't sit next to gay passengers, or BAME, or disabled or wearing clothing that shows they're of a different religion?

yahoosername · 29/08/2020 18:08

Seriously? @sycamorecottage Confused

HyacynthBucket · 29/08/2020 18:17

This is disgusting and I hope she gets a huge settlement from EasyJet as it seems it was against Israeli law as well as British and other European laws to discriminate on grounds of gender. EasyJet clearly knew they were breaking the law by going with these men's request to not sit next to her, but they pandered to them instead of supporting her. This must happen all the time in Israel with Orthodox Jews, so it is hard to understand why airlines have not got their act together in refusing to comply with unlawful requests by sexists.

I’m with her- if they had a problem, they should move, or pay for a whole row to have it to themselves!
