TUI call - scam or genuine?

I just had a call from a UK number, really bad line, lots of back ground noice and heavily accented call centre operator led me to think that it was an overseas call centre, , asked me loads of questions about my holiday booking, apparently they were calling to ask me to pay something towards my balance or pay in full over the phone, balance isn’t due for ages. I declined to pay and said that I would pay it when due.

Has anyone had similar? Googled the number and it comes up with various responses, if it is a scam then TUI have had a data breach.

Send TUI a personal message on social media? Or you could call TUI yourself?

Sounds very dodgy!

I would say scam. If you booked online you should be able to pay online.

@Choppedupapple also hope you didn't confirm your address and holiday dates, as that could be all he was after - burglary. Having said that, any criminal who manages to get a job in travel can get that info out of the booking system.
