Founding Fathers

I'm watching Hamilton and I have realised this is a whole period of history I know nothing about. Can anyone recommend a really accessible book about that period. I prefer fiction that is historically accurate but will take Founding Fathers for dummies.

Following with interest. I know that Lin Manuel used Ron Chernow biography of Hamilton as a basis for the musical.

There are loads of books about slavery and the Deep South. I can't believe there are no equivalent books about going's on in the North.

There are literally hundreds but all published in the US. Not a book but I would recommend the HBO miniseries John Adams

Thank you, I have ordered the book, and will give the series a watch. X
