How many years have you been using Mumsnet?

And how many names do you have in your username history? Grin

I joined in 2006 but I can't look up my first username history because I re-registered after Jeffreygate. Reckon I had perhaps 10-20 usernames before Jeffrey, most of them fairly recognisable ncs
for Christmas/Halloween etc.

Post-Jeffrey I change names a lot more often and don't join in with the seasonal nc thing. I've had 20 different names since I re-registered although weirdly I can't see the date of that from my account details. I think Jeffrey was in August 2015 or maybe 2016?

Anyway, how about you? Do you behave differently on MN pre and post Jeffrey?

October 06. 66 different usernames! Some of those are usernames generated by MNHQ for Secret Santa, back in the day when we did that.

I don't change my name, mainly because I can't be arsed! But I have changed passwords since Jeffrey.

Since 2006 when Ds2 was born and I have had a lot of names.

Jefferygate was the security breach wasn't it?

MN has been my companion for a long time, like a friend who most of the time you like but sometimes it worries you or irritates the shit out of you.

16 years. Probably 200 names but that includes seasonal name changes and a LOT of titting about. I stick to the same name mostly.

I joined at the end of 2006, maybe start of 2007 - Aitch told me I'd like MN when she was running the BLW forum. Apart from secret santa names I've always been CMOT

2005 and shit knows how many name changes. I de-regged after the security breach but not for long.
Re registered with a new e-mail and password.

DD is just 11 so about 10.5 years I think. Some name changes. Changed one from the same as my TES name when I had a stalker who followed me here.
Lifesaving for me on some occasions.
But also drives me nuts.
I don’t post much. But read a lot.

A long time and my original account was one of those hacked in 2015 so because I didn’t/don’t trust MN’s security I opened up a new email address to set up a new account. It’s not used for anything else or in any way linked to anything now.

I’ve no idea how many usernames I’ve had but I liked my original one with my original account and have continued to feel very lost without it.

About 15 years. I had the same name until (Jeffrey/hacking/something) With Slight seasonal variations. But since all the hassle & stalking etc I name change frequently. It's a shame though because I miss being 'me' and I really, really miss how MN used to be in the beginning when you really got to know people. It still had lots of swearing & bun fights, but there wasn't the absolute gratuitous nastiness there often is now.

That's not to say I don't like lots of the newer posters, I do...I just miss the close knit community there once was.

About 2003, DS is now 23!

Lots of different usernames. Both on purpose or because I forgot and had to re-register.

I don't post as often now, just read bits when I've got downtime. Also have only ever used the forums, none of the other bits.

It must be 4 years because I’m pretty sure I joined when I was recovering from breast cancer and looking for support. Same user name all the time.
