My dm is driving me nuts. Doesn't believe in covid. Stuff about chemtrails and Michelle Obama being a man... I mean... Anyone else in this boat? Arguing and debating doesn't get us anywhere with her.

Yes. A sibling. The earth is flat. Moon landing was faked. 9/11 an inside job david Icke is fantastic etc etc etc

There’s nothing you can do. They’re so convinced that they are right
Just nod smile plenty of ‘ok‘ ‘right’ and then change the subject Or ask them not to talk about it with you
Or lessen contact with them

I've got a couple of Facebook friends who believe all this, I've just unfollowed them, but I'm not sure how I'd deal with someone in the family. I've actually been reading about some of these theories today,, - Qanon and all that. It's all pretty terrifying that people are believing this stuff...

I've got a dfriend and her partner. She gets really stressed about the things she believes especially to do with covid and mask wearing. I'd actually say it's making her ill.
I just try and listen and understand how she is feeling and offer different perspectives. She is getting quite a hard time from her family because of her beliefs but I can see why they are frustrated with her. It's a very tricky situation.
