East or West beach Littlehampton.

On Sunday we are going to attempt a beach trip. I’m a bonafide shopping washer so I’m still feeling like we shouldn’t. DH is desperate to see the sea though. Anyway, I digress...

Which beach would you recommend? They seem a fair walk apart. We would love as quiet as possible near no other humans. Is that a possibility here? Or a least not sitting shoulder to shoulder? TIA

I was there last week - west is much quieter. It was all very quiet though, we were the only idiots sat in howling wind .

West Beach is a world away from East Beach. The sand and shingle are the same but there isn’t any of the development and seaside “fun” at West Beach. In fact it’s actually a Site of Special Scientific Interest. East Beach has a prom, amusements, well maintained seafront gardens etc... West Beach is popular with dog walkers as it welcomes dogs all year round.

West beach has free parking. East is £8 a day.

What's a shopping washer?

I can’t see any free parking on West Beach. Just the Pay and Display?
