I'm so sad

Long story involving work (I can link my other thread to save writing the whole boring thing here). It's DH's first birthday as a dad tomorrow, we all have Monday off and we were going to have a day out on bank holiday Monday as we don't get really any time off as a family.

I haven't been paid properly and am skint so we can't do anything. I'm just so sad. We were going to have a lovely day. DS starts nursery on Thursday and it seemed nice to have some time together first. He's only 9 months so it was a day more for us than him.

Just needed to indulge in some self-pity. Hope you don't mind. I'm all alone in the house.

Aw I'm sorry.
Could you not make a picnic and take it somewhere free like to a beach or lake or even a field?
Bring a blanket, a book, play music on your phones.

sadly I live in Scotland and the rainy season is well underway. We weren't doing anything that exciting but we were going to have a meal out and just spend some time together. I know we'll still be together in the house but it's not the same.

Bank holidays are awful days to be out anyway. Have you got £10 for a M&S dine in meal which includes a bottle of wine ?

@Baggagerack no I don't. The union were able to loan me £50 so I can get some food shopping and nappies so we'll cope but it's just a bit shit.
